Campau Lake Full Sunnday Day Cottage

Hello, It place was great right on the lake. We had an issue with the hot tub, but Mike was great to communicate as he answered within moments and went out of his way to accommodate us.

Location is great but thats it. The place is in need of repair. Doors to the bathrooms needs locks. Cabinet doors are broken. Furnitures stained and ripped. The deck is a little dangerous with some wood rotting away. The dock/pier has collapsed.

Very rough around the edges for the cost. Home not in great shape. Fridge wouldn’t keep contents cold. Backyard and screened in porch need work.

Franklin was very responsive to our request. He got us propane and allowed early check-in. There were a lot of beds. The listing says 3 bedrooms but I think that must be counting one of the studios as a bedroom. Some of the pictures in the listing are stock images. The pool and hot tub were not as clean as pictured. The dock needs some work. The back yard needed the grass mowed. There was lack of lighting in one sleep area/bedroom. It would have been nice to have a regular inside room door giving privacy instead of a door that was mostly windows. Definitely the place was not what we expected for the money we paid.

Wonderful place for a family gathering! We enjoyed the large yard on the beach with kayaks, a boat and canoe all available. We rented a pontoon boat to tour the lake and made a campfire at night.Help was available on site for any questions or needs we had. The only negative issues were the pool and hot tub were not very clean.

Nice view of the lake, private home with lots of space, hot tub was nice for the whole family to relax in.

Everything was dirty, dishes,bedding,deck,grill,canoes, and kayaks.place had no cleaning supplies not even a broom and dustpan pool was dirty the hot tub only 4 jets work the property manager cut the grass while we were there without a catcher on the mower nor did he rake it all up Everything we wanted to use we had to clean ourselves also the property manager lives on site right next to the pool so there was no way I was going to let the girls swim . This property has 4 houses in a row so all outside equipment is shared including the pool and hot tub also tenets in the other houses weren't very happy either. They have pictures of washer and dryer but there not hooked up one of the houses has them that work but there's a sign that says do not use!!! Talked to both manager and owner neither one cared about our concerns while out on the lake we talked to people that lives there and all the people that they talked to was very unhappy. The bedding was disgusting found a vape in one of the beds had a lot of glitter in another bed . I watched the cleaning crew and they were in and out in 10 minutes will not recommend it to anyone

We chose this Airbnb for a spontaneous trip for the amenities but the experience far exceeded our expectations!! We had the best time ever, and we will be back again soon!!

The Airbnb itself was fantastic, clean, near the lake with a hot tub a fire pit and plenty of sleeping areas. However, the stress that the hosts put on the renters through excessive messaging (for 4 months leading up to the date) as well as reasking the same questions repeatedly made us feel uneasy about what our house would include and what extra fees would be applied. Additionally the host made us sign a rental contract on top of the contract through Airbnb after we paid the deposit. The host included many individuals in our chats (not guests) that would re ask more than 15 questions frequently. We were worried about what we were walking into and afterwards worried about what we would be charged (Linen fees) as they were listed in some places but then we were told there would be no extra fees. The hosts put out signs to tip the housekeeper after charging a hefty cleaning fee through Airbnb. Now the hosts offer a discount on our next stay in exchange for a 5 star review (legal?)

Our family had a great overnight stay at Campau Lake Sunny Days. Frank and team were easy to communicate with and responded promptly to all my communications, even when I texted at late hours. They graciously contacted us before our stay to bump us to the bigger cottage free of charge. They were flexible with our checkout time so we could enjoy the hot tub during the small window of good weather during our stay. We hope to be back in the summer time to play on the lake!!

Second time staying with these properties and both occasions went great for hosting a large group of people.

Nice stay for the night. The jacuzzi pool was very nice.

House and location are nice, communication is messy.

We checked into one of the homes that Frank has on Campau Lake and immediately were greeted with hospitality and care. The caretaker Mike made sure we were going to be happy with our stay right away and we were overjoyed with the comfort and location of the house. I would definitely stay at one of his properties again.

We had a nice time. Property management is very attentive

We rented out 2 houses side by side and it was great for our group. Plenty of space and beds and the attached studio had lots of space in the kitchen and a tv and ping pong table which we enjoyed. Huge hot tub was a nice addition.

First and foremost, this place is what you would expect. It’s a great getaway at a place that’s perfect for most families. We got this for our 4th of July getaway. Pros: It is as pictured. The grounds host is awesome and responsive. Plenty of room to sleep for a family that doesn’t mind to mix together. Two kitchens were great. Spa access right at house. The other properties were friendly and shared amenities. We were able to check in earlier. Great fishing for kids. Clean lake. Firewood provided. Cons: Update pictures online. House desperately needs to be updated for the price. Again, if you aren’t too picky, this house is nice. Renovations needed. The grass just got mowed when we got there and had to be cleaned up before we could settle in. I had to weed eat the property upon arrival. The dock is half under water but the kids loved every minute of it. We didn’t get reimbursed for breakfast due to not keeping receipts; was unaware it was needed. Overall, we had a great visit!

Everything was good except the neighbors who were very loud in the hot tub until 1:00 in the morning.

Great house and swim spa only thing I would change would be putting locks on the bathroom doors.

It was a nice peaceful getaway for the night with my dog. Great communication from Mike and will be back again.

Staying with Frank's airbnb was an absolutely incredible experience. From the different recreational activities available to the ambience of scenery around us it was an incredible pleasure. Reaching out to Frank for our next event/holiday/birthday/celebration of any kind is going to be our very first thought!

Definitely overpriced and over rated for what we got. Would not recommend this place until some upgrades and repairs are made. Will not return. Took 8 of our adult grandchildren here. Pleased with location. Beautiful area and lake. Very disappointed with… 1. Communication with Frank from the very beginning. Conflicting messages. 2. Refrigerator turned down. Took a day to cool. 3. Spa turned down. Took a day to heat up. 4 water pump ran all night off and on 5. Warped floor from toilet water leak. 6. Had to find our own fire wood which was to be supplied. 7. Dock half submerged into lake. 8. Dead bugs, spiders and cob webs especially in kitchen window. 9. Overpriced for what we got. Pleased with …. 1. Frank did give us a discount. But still overpriced for what we got. He did reimburse us for breakfast. 2. Mike was great at responding to our requests on site. 3. Great recommendation for pontoon ride and swims with Wes.

The house was great, it was exactly as we anticipated.

My family and I had a great time. Would do it again.

Great spot for a small staff retreat

the 1st unit AC did not cool down the rooms, provided a tiny fan. We had to buy more fans to circulate the air. 2nd unit AC was really good. Pots & pans were unsafe to use as they were peeling so ended up buying our own. The mattresses in the 1st unit were horrible, you can feel the bars when laying on the bed. The trundle bed on the 2nd unit was a makeshift bed. No adult should ever lay on top bed as it literally moves & creeks though the mattresses were all new. The water heater could not cope with 11 people let alone max capacity of 16. Overall the house was not worth the $800+ per night charge. Th rental pontoon boat was so overpriced. it was our 1st time so next time we know what to look for.

The Home was perfect for a beautiful getaway with my family. Frank and his team were kind & ready to help us when needed. Lots of beds were available for everyone and Frank has many things to do on the property such as swimming and games. It was an amazing experience for my birthday getaway. We will definitely be booking this house again!

The place itself is okay. There are issues with cleanliness and general upkeep. The real issue, however, is the responsiveness, or lack thereof, of management. They were prompt in asking for money and additional fees (i.e. a charge for having a guest over past 9pm as well as a deposit). When it came time to return my deposit, Frank and the rest of management did not respond. It’s been roughly a week with no response. I am currently pursuing a refund through Airbnb. From the start, management was asking for random fees. This place embodies many of the issue people have with Airbnb today. Would not stay here again even for free.

Great location right on the lake, however a little over priced for the condition and cleanliness of the place

This was such a perfect place for our family to gather to relax and prepare for a wedding celebration of a family member. We came from several different states. None of the wedding parties and celebrations were held here but we could come back and relax, sleep and prepare here between events at other venues.

We went there as a Church Youth group, we enjoyed our stay there. Love it!

Booked this house for a weekend getaway for a wedding in town. Frank was very generous and allowed us to check in early to have enough time to get settled in and ready. A great spot to relax, right on the water with plenty of beds! There is also an amazing sized hot tub.

Had a very relaxing, fun overnight in this cute cottage. Was clean and had everything we needed. Frank was very easy to contact, but we truly had no complaints. We will definitely be back 🙂

We Enjoyed our quick little getaway! It’s was rainy but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the hot tub as well as the view.

We had such a relaxing time and the kids had a blast. Mike was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again!
